It looks alright to me. I don't see why you want to use the apostrophe but oh well, IMO it doesn't bring the name to a downfall. Nevaeh and the reason why people pick it is becoming way overused, and I've seen it so many times. But that's just my personal perspective, and it does have some class. *shrugs*
Definitely doesn't strike me as ghetto, though.

Overall, I think the name is okay.

I understand your taking offense, I'm African American as well. and although I wish people would hold their tongues at times, my best advice to you is to ignore this. This happens a lot on this site, among other things. Sometimes it can be funny, and other times you can find yourself smack dab in the middle of that like now lol
Just try to be indifferent or nonchalant about it, it'll help a lot in the future, especially as you stay on here for a long period of time.

I didn't think anyone here was being racist, of course not! Maybe I didn't take the 'hood rat' thing the right way...that's just one of those terms I take offense to. Doesn't always have much to do with the person saying them, but the words.

True, her spelling/grammar's not the best. This is just one of those things that doesn't bug me, I'm used to being around 13-year-olds typing the same way on other sites (No offense, OP!!!).

I do too, a lot of the times. Other times, as bad as this may seem, Hispanic and black. Mainly because I a lot of people I know do the same, and I sort of adopted that. No excuse for it though, I know.

That's what I was worried about for a minute, tbh...that I stereotyped a 'hood rat' as being 'black'.  
It's just that so many people I know use this word that way...its probably why I take offense to the word, too.

I left two posts that explains why I took offense to the word. I understand my intertwining (sorry if that was misspelled) being African American with the word 'hood rat' was probably not the wisest choice of words or actions. But again, I don't think anyone here is racist. I'm probably mistaken, but I think the OP said that the person who said this was mixed or had a african American mother?

You DO realize that her atrocious grammar and spelling of everything in general, plus her e-hard badass behavior is why people see her as trashy and classless, and her ghetto name choice with the unneeded apostrophe makes it that much worse.

Understandable, I can't really agree with the majority's opinion on the OP because I've only skimmed this thread. I've explained why I took the word 'hood rat' as I did, it didn't have much to do with anyone else here but past experience. I'll admit if it was my mistake, and apologize for that immediate assumption. I'm used to people using the word that way.

As for what people think of the OP; I may disagree but there's not really much that I can do about that. People will think what they want to think. So far the OP seems like a fine person to me :/
