piercings

so today I went to go get my labret pierced with a friend of mine and no one would do it cuz Im pregnant  I was very upset.. it was a spur of the moment thing but I kind of got excited for it and I never even thought about the whole pregnancy factor..

Yeah it sucks you cant get peircings of tattoos when your pregnant. They dont want to be liable if you get any infections...or if its a hormonal thing and you regret it later, they just dont want to be sued.

while it is a bummer, it's a good thing.... you don't want to risk giving the little one any infections!

Duh. Your body is creating a baby, and the last thing it wants to do is fight off an infection. Better luck after you pop the bubby out...

Thankfully you have a good piercer that cares more about the well being of his clients than money.

as soon as they said " are you pregnant?" I was like OH YEAH!... i guess im just bummed because as summer approaches i am realizing i am very limited as to what i can do... i feel like everyone around me is having fun and i cant do ANYTHING... the piercing was gonna be fun and different but NOPE cant do that either!!

thats not why they said they dont do it which surprised me!!! they said it was because of the adrenaline rush... some people pass out and it throws your body all out of wack for about twenty minutes... im sure the infection thing is part of it too tho

I'm not sure about piercings, but you can't get a tat while nursing, either. I'm sooooo close to being able to get a new one!!

the lactation consultant told me it was okay as long as it was a place i knew was really clean i was on vac so i waited till i got back home and got it done

i got my ears pierced and my tounge when i was prego and no problems here! I wish i wouldve got all my piercings/tatoos out the way then because i cant do any of that now!

I got the ink on my ribs when i was preggy hahaha, but i didnt know i was! But nothing happened to it, its fine, and my little mama is GREAT!!!!

But im sorrry that your gna have to wait on the piercing! lol.   I also pierced my lip again when i was maybe 6wks preggy.. lol again nothing happened, but i did it my self.. I think it is good that they wont risk it though, at least they are being cautious right????   thats good. Just wait till after you have her, and if you still want it get it.. you never know, you might change your mind.. give it time...
