I grew up in a desert where my closest neighbor was 1/4 of a mile away from me. When I moved out there I want to say the population was 200 TOPS.

Wasn't farm country or anything, but everything was spread out in such a way that it wasn't worth the drive. If we wanted to hang out with a friend who lived on the other side of the valley it was usually saved for the weekends when we could spend the night at each other's house.

Wow that's crazy! I now live in a gated community where my dd will have lots of kids to play with too.

I live right outside of Albuquerque!  

I will admit. I absolutely love the desert, and I miss the hiking trips my dad and I use to take almost every weekend it seemed like. And I miss camping at the lake at least twice every summer!

Sadly the area I grew up in, you had to search for the beauty. It was there, but you had to look for it.

I can kind of understand how you feel, OP. I'm currently 17, will be 18 in August 14th and I've been having a case of what some call "baby fever" for the past weeks now. Thankfully it's not severe enough to where the only thing I can think about is damn babies xD and I'm nowhere near the point to where I'm currently looking for surrogate fathers  

It's just, I see all of these cute babies at the Wildwood's Boardwalk and the babies on BG, and I get this feeling and think, "Awww, I want one at some point  "

But what I tell myself, and what may help you, is that I need to work towards my permit so I can get my driver's license, I need to find a paying job, I need to get my Aspergers and that type of smurf together, and I need to work towards my dream career of being a bestselling author and go further into my education by attending college in Connecticut.  
Can't possibly do all of this as smoothly as I hope if I had a small child or little infant under my care...

So, my best advice to you is to wait as well, for reasons as that other ladies have expressed and brought to light.
