And having a child isn't just something you're like "oh I'm 18. Too old, have to have a kid."

Do you have a job? How are you going to get better than a minimum wage job without an education? Who is going to watch the kid while you're working. Daycare is expensive as hell. Then there's health insurance for both of you. Food for the kid. Clothes. Diapers, and random little smurf that you don't realize you need.

I'm 19 and I got pregnant in december. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I'm sooooo stressed out because I dont know how I'm gonna do this whole parenting thing. I would wait. Seriously. You're 18 and its not easy being a mom at any age. Live your life.

Actually having a baby is a lot like a puppy. They pee and poop everywhere, you have to feed them and clean up after they tear your house to shreds. You have to plan around them because they can't go everywhere with you(like a movie theater), they wake you up several times a night barking/crying. And when it comes time to potty train, they piss on your furniture.
Being a parent is nothing like baby sitting. You can't give the kid back when it keeps you up all night and pours coffee on your lap top.

Quoting La vie est Belle ♥:" babysitting and actually having kids are two completely different things."

It takes so much more than you could ever imagine to be a mother. You don't get back 1/4th of the effort you put in to it. And once you are a mother in it for LIFE. How do you plan on supporting a kid? Kids are EXTREMELY expensive. Unless you are one of those people who plan to live off the government after they have kids.... Who will watch your child while you work? Either you will have to get family to do it or work even harder to pay for daycare which is expensive as hell. And you do realize that you will probably have to work so much with out a colledge education to make ends meat that you will probably hardly ever even get to see your kids right?

my only issue is my virginity and the fact that I don't want to have sex before 22. Also the standards I have. But, at same time, I want to have a child. That's really all that's stopping me... idk

If that is really all that is stopping you then you have far more serious issues that need addressed

Judging from your post, you are far from ready to have a baby.

And I'm sure if you talked to most of the young moms on BG, they would tell you that they wish they had waited a few years.

well you said it in your post if ends didn't meet that's what I'd use. Likely though. There are these waitressing jobs that pay you lots of money down here I could work there if it came to it and yes I have a job... Also my body won't change that much. My mom gained 100 lbs and lost it all in 6 months when she had me at 19. Only bad thing is I might get smurfed up boobs but they're already messed up. So I'm not scared of the physicality of pregnancy.

Take your rose colored glasses off, go to college, meet a guy that will love you for YOU and then start a family. Dont gauge your life on other peoples goals and lives. 18 is WAY too young to have a baby, let alone take care of yourself fully.

As for the old and dumpy 'look', you know HOW mothers get like that...BEING MOTHERS!

You do realize your mother's pregnancy will be nothing like your pregnancy, right?

Are you just going to ignore my post? Waitressing won't take care of a kid. Who will watch it? How will you pay for health insurance, day care, everything? Why did you skip my legitamate post?

well I have a cat which by nature poops in the house all over everyday feed her clean up after her. And by nature of being nocturnal keeps me up at night because nighttime is her kind of daytime. I don't get much sleep and I don't even always sleep at night I could deal with that inconsistency. When she wasn't litter trained she'd poop in the sink or bathtub. That was really a test it seemed...
