..should I?

posted 12th May
o0o0k I started thinking (my boyfriend and I broke up) He hasn't told his parents that I'm pregnant, and I highly highly doubt he will now now that he broke it off...(I never met his parents either by the way)

wouldn't it be bad if his parents if his parents never knew they had a grand child and found out a couple of years later and were really hurt? Does any one know how a guys parent would feel about this situation?
Is it my job to tell them if he doesn't?

His parents didn't do anything wrong to you... I would be crushed if I had a grandbaby that I never knew about.

I'm inthe same situation and I honestly don't know what to do. I've met my babys dads parents before and we got along real good so part of me wants to tell them just out of respect andbecause they do deserve to know that they're going to have a grandson soon but then again I don't know how they would react and if they would resent me for "ruining" there sons life.. its a tough situation

yeah, they didn't do anything wrong.. so would it be psycho to call his parents and tell them?

just make sure your intentions are clear... you arent calling them to get to their son.. you just want them to share the experience with you even if he doesnt want to. im sure they will respect you more if you told them..

They had no idea I was with their son for 7 months and I never met them.. so I don't have any kind of relationship with them

You should definetly tell them, but its not something you should do on the phone. Maybe call and see if they wouldnt mind if you stopped by because you had something important to tell them. Emphisiz that you dont want to cause drama, nothing from them or thier son but just want to let them have have the oppertunity to be grandparents.

Yeah.. I think this guy was completly scared of commitment or something.. Cause we've been off and on for 3 years now.. 7 months straight on tho. but thanks for your opinions i just didn't know how weird it would be for a total stranger to stop by and be like oh i'm having your sons child
