scraping of membranes?

Has anyone had this done?? What was your reactions to it? I just had mine done in the office today.

Scraping the membranes? Never heard of it. I thought it was called something else..maybe I am thinking of something different. Whats this suppose to do?

Stripping the membranes is what I was thinking of...same thing??

Good luck! - I had mine scrapped on a Tuesday after noon and went into labor on Thursday. But I was sitting at 3cm dialated and 80% effaced too. Thye labor was really fast 6 hours but then a shift change right when I was ready to push! This messedme up mentallyand it took me three more hours to push her out!

Was it painful (membrane strippage)?

When I first got checked for dilation/effacement, my eyes crossed. Talk about violation!

I swear they do put their whole arm up there too! It is hard to tell over the big belly!

She said something about possibly Thursday. I am sitting at 2cm 80% effaced I have been 2cm since last monday.
