Possible Downs Syndrome?

I love my little girl so much. I don't care if she does or doesn't have it, but by the way some of her facial features are, the doctor was concerned that she might have it so they are doing a test to see. I just wanted some opinions on whether some of your ladies see what the doctor saw when he first saw my beautiful little girl. Does she look like she might have downs syndrome? She also has a lot of Native in her, which I mostly contribute her features to. I am just impatient and don't want to wait 1-2 weeks to find out   Of course I know none of you are doctor's. I'm just wondering if you think her facial features might be downs.

Right after she was born:




Then I took this a few hours ago when I last fed her, she's in the NICU because the nurses thought she was having some trouble breathing and she was playing with her tongue too much and they thought that was a downs marker cause it looked a little big. Since being up there she's been doing phenomenal, showing no problems though they are keeping her overnight just to be on the safe side, and she's breast feeding like a champ, getting a good 35-45 minutes in with each feeding, and getting all the nutrients she needs according to the docs. She's showing no signs of having any other problems either.




Don't get me wrong, I love my beautiful little girl regardless. She is my light and my life and I am so blessed to have her and her sister in my life. I was just wondering if anyone saw these downs characteristics like the doctor's thought.

She is absolutely beautiful! Congrats.

I think the way her mouth, head and eyes are shaped look like Trisomy 21 traits. But asians, Native Americans and some Hispanics have those same traits.

Maybe its me... but her face looks really puffy.

No idea, but frick she is cute.

I think she might, but I wouldn't know for sure. Regardless, she's gorgeous!

she's gorgeous..unfortunately yes she does look a lil like she has Downs Syndrome..I think your very postitive! Remember God never give you what you can't handle..special children need special parents! ..congrats and I will be praying for you both :-)

The cheeks she gets from me haha. Her sister has the same cheeks, this was her big sister when she was born  

I don't see it (but) I have a 36 year old cousin with ds and he is the sweetest most loving amazing man in the entire world. When he was born the dr's told me aunt to put him in a home and my mom talked her out of it. Every time I call he says "thats Abbi she's a hottie" haha i adore him.

Do you have a close up with your recent daughter's eyes open?

My sister tested neg while prego but when he was born he has the same qualities I would say yes I see the qualities down syndrome but she is beautiful and I can say being around down syndrome all the time they.are allot.of fun.good luck

I see it in some of her features but she is gorgeous regardless.
