I did not bring hubby, there were no other men there. But I do suggest bringing all the literature and what not you will receive back to him and go over it together! That is what we did and it worked great.

I would take him... he needs to be supportive and understanding of it all as well.

It will make things much easier on you if he is educated on it all as well.

There were several men in my class and I wish I would have brought my husband. If nothing else, you'll need support at some point during breastfeeding and he'll know more about it to help you. Good luck and have fun in class  !

Good, because I really did want him to come with me... he wants to know all about it and I am not so good at explaining things haha, so it would be best if he ent with, he's also a nursing student so its not like he gets weirded out by those sort of things lol.

I think some men (and even women who haven't tried to breastfeed) think breastfeeding is so easy and don't understand why it can be hard for some moms. It might be a good idea to bring him just so he can understand a little bit more about what you're going through, especially if you do end up struggling some with it, then he can be there for support.

My hubbs didn't want to go, but I told him how awesome all of the other women would think of him. Turns out, there were only 2 couples there who didn't have their partners there. My hubbs and I learned SO much in that class, and he really enjoyed it

Quoting BritniLynn:“ I think some men (and even women who haven't tried to breastfeed) think breastfeeding is so easy and ... [snip!] ... more about what you're going through, especially if you do end up struggling some with it, then he can be there for support.”

Completely agreed. I don't know if I would have gotten past the first week if it wasn't for my husband telling me how proud he was of me for trying through the pain and suggesting the lactation consultant at the hospital  !
