Best double stroller.

posted 15th Jul '12
I'm thinking of getting a Phil & Ted dash double buggy .... I'm in loveeeee with it.
My son will be 17-18months old when this baby gets here so a double stroller is a MUST.   I'm out and about way too much to not have one. Well which double strollers do you think is best?
Just curious to see other options. I just hate the Phil & Ted is gonna cost 550$. Eeekkk

That's pretty neat !! I didn't know they made stand ones that can have a carseat snap in it. I saw the regular double stroller stand ones. But an 18month old is not gonna stand lol! But that one is neat ! I'll keep that one in mind   thanks

i like the eddy BueurSP ones. its what i have, but i got mine at a consignment shop for 85! I would recommend looking for a double stroller second hand from a shop or individual!! you can get a great one for less than retail! I had the graco duo tour stroller, and its heavy hard to get in and out of a smaller car, and can really be a pain in the but!

I like the baby jogger city mini gt double which is about the same price as the P&T that you have looked at...probably a little bit more lightweight. I am not super familiar w/ the P&T you like. Does it have a car seat adaptor? The mini gt can take a graco, chicco, peg perego...and some other brands, you just need an adaptor(which is about an extra $100)

I have that stroller and there are 2 physical seats, so the 18 month old would be safe.
It's got 2 physical seats (1 facing you, 1 facing out), then it has a jump seat with a lap belt that snaps on, and it has a standing platform for older kids.

I have the Phil and Teds Explorer. I haven't used it as a double much since my son was 3 when #2 was born, but I really like it and it's nice it can be a single if you don't need the double for the day. Plus it's not bulky like other doubles.

If you scroll a little bit you'll see the Phil and Ted stroller. It's the awesomist one lol that's why it's so expensive for those who have never heard of it !

Same idea as a Phil and ted   Phil and Ted is just heavier and harder to folds down. I've heard better things about Britax then Phil and Ted but its all pesonal prefrence!

OP: Stick with the P&T...Britax makes amazing convertible carseats, but their strollers are AWFUL and completely unoriginal!!! They've discontinued over 8 strollers since 2004, none were on the market longer than 2 years. The B-ready is a total knock-off of the UppaBaby Vista. Only not as nicely executed and cheaper materials!

Baby Jogger City Select is probably the best single to double stroller on the market. Pricier, but versatile. The City Mini double is also a nice light weight w/full sized features.

I feel the best infant strollers that are double strollers would be found here! This site helps you do all the search so you can get the links for Amazon, Walmart, Sears, etc My favorite has got to be the filters on this site as it can help narrow down your choices to suit you. They even have a great compatibility quiz that helps you match the item to your lifestyle, needs, etc http://www.lela.com/Best-Double-Stroller/cad/stroller?filters[seat.number]=NumberSeats_2

I have the Phil and teds double ( old model like the explorer) and LOVE IT!!!!! its super easy to fold. It handles like a dream. Its not heavy at all IMO. I use it as a double all the time even when I'm not using the seat it self for a child its great just to use as storage. Buying this stroller has to be the best purchase we have made hands down as far as baby and kids equipment goes. we have had out stroller for over three years and its still in excellent condition. Go for the p&t you wont regret it!!!
