They are not funny if you are sensitive to those subjects but there is always a subject that is a no-go area for some people so if comedias avoided all subjects that could upset someone then there would be very few jokes in a show.
I think all subjects are fine to joke about so long as the comedian is good at their job and can read the crowd. If a comedian does say a joke that offends you then heckle back, they love a bit of banter.
I generally only go and see comedians that I know and like anyway so I already know what I'm in for. I know which ones will be going close to the line of offensiveness.
Now if a comedian cracked a joke about rape at a rape charity event then that's very bad taste.
You can'r really say something isn't funny ever, because if it makes one person laugh then it is funny to them. You can say it's not funny to YOU but you can't speak for others who might find it hilarious.

For me alone, it depends on the nature of the jokes. I admit, I'm guilty of making at least two occasional such jokes myself. I was never told off for them or even that I was being offensive.

But at the same time, I can definitely understand how a rape victim will feel completely different regarding jokes about such a terrible experience for them. I've never been raped, thus I could probably never imagine what a horror it is to go through such a thing. So at the same time, I feel rape jokes can be equally inappropriate...especially when giving them in public.

So my opinion is that it basically depends on the nature of the joke and where you say it (I guess), and to be highly cautious of what you say to who and around who either way.

As someone who has been raped. I dont easily get offended and rape jokes dont bother me at all. Or any kind of joke really.

yes rape jokes can be funny along with any other offensive jokes. there are ways to tell these jokes. comedians are like story tellers and they make light of situations through comedy, especially those taboo subjects people dont want to talk about.

there shouldnt be a censorship to these kinds of jokes but there are decent ways to put them. make fun of the opressor, make fun of yourself, but never make fun of the victim.

This I can agree with, too.  

"Funny" is highly subjective.
Chances are, a rape victim or someone who has been affected by sexual abuse may not find a rape joke funny. In the same sense, a victim of a hate crime may not find a racial joke funny, or the mother of a stillborn may not find a dead baby joke funny.
Every single joke ever made could be considered offensive by someone with a personal connection to the subject.
