My poor guy wants his hair back so bad.

posted 15th Jul '12
So because I work a crazy schedule and DH is opposed to cutting Will's hair it has been allowed to grow rampant for the past 6 months or so. It got down past his ears, and brushing his shoulders and after BEGGING DH to cut it I finally just went and did it myself. We got to the haircutting place and Will was all for it... until he saw it. Then he threw a fit for like 4 HOURS. He touched my hair and said "Your hair is long, why can't my hair be long too?"   If I had known how attached he was I wouldn't have had them cut it so drastically. He also wanted to know if we could glue it back to his head.

Anyway earlier today he looked in the mirror and said "Oh, look my hair's growing back. You don't cut it again. I'll spank your butt"

Our Boys are Birth Year Buddies, But My Son is a September Baby.
We make it a Big Deal about HIM getting to choose to cut his Hair, & How short. My mom wants it Cut, & other family Members. But He Has started Getting Pissy at everyone of them who makes the Comments.
Every February, Either Me or DH will Shave our Heads for Cancer. & we make sure HE knows that if HE wants to do so, HE Can, but that it's HIS decision. However He is More attached to his Hair than My Mom is to hers! So we've taken to threatening him with a Hair Cut, for certain things. We put it up in a "Man-Tail" for alot of things, but Plait it for special or more formal occasions. But We did give him a Small Trim 'cause he wanted "Pirate Hair" when My Mom came Back from Barbados. I seriously Regret Letting My Mom have her way with Him having a small trim. Because Now we have to get the Front Grown out...Which is where one of, if not the only, reason for him being threatened with a Hair Cut. "If you keep Chewing on your Hair we're going to Cut it All off so you won't have that Problem! Also If you stop chewing it It'll grow out so we can Put it up with the Rest, & rim it, so you can have Proper Thor Hair" He Loves Thor, so it Works, that his Hair is the same Colour.

I'd let him keep it long if it weren't for the fact that he fights having his hair washed and he's in the lake almost every day in the summer. Yeah, it's gross.

This is it before:

And this is after, I think it looks so much better:

Next time, though, I'll probably let him have it a little longer. I just don't like it all messy and uneven.

It looks like it's short enough that if you just leave it alone Right Now it will grow out to be truly Even. 'Though we do perceive Hair to be "Even" when it's at the same Distance from the Ground when brushed straight Down from the top of the Head, Or Pulled back into a Pony tail & all being at the same Length, but really that just means that the Front is longer than the Back. He still looks Cute Either way!

My Boy's Hair Right Now.

'Though I don't know how well you can see it in this Pic....
