How did your parents approach sex?
And by "open" I mean they had a dialog with you about it more than once or twice.
And let's not have drama in here. No one needs to judge teen parents.

We never talked about sex at all. So yeaaaa.

Well I didn't get pregnant as a teenager, but they kinda talked to me about it. I waited a while & used protection when I had sex.

I didn't get pregnant as a teen but the only "talk" I had with my parents was my mom telling me that if I got pregnant I wouldn't be living in her house. Guess it scared me enough lol

I'm going to say open and didn't care if I waited since it never really came up either way. The only thing I was ever expressly told not to do by my mom was worship Satan (seriously). I called her from college the morning after I lost my virginity and she was happy for me, I was 19 then.
ETA (I wasn't a teen mom, but I still replied. 22 is close enough)

My mom was overly open about sex, inappropriately so.
My father and stepmother were religious when I was younger, were open about it but thought I should save myself, knew I was sexually active later, but refused to put me on BC because it was like 'writing a blank check'. I was diagnosed with PCOS anyways, so I thought I was bulletproof

Never really talked about sex...
quoteposted 14th Jul '12
She found out I was sexually active. Tried to put a stop to it because I was so young, she flipped her lid. That failed so she put me on birth control and we had a sensible talk. I moved out at 16 and didn't keep up with the BC.

They were open in the sense that if I approached them with questions about sex, they would answer, but they never brought any sex talk up to me. They never once thought I had lost my virginity until I broke the news after my first boyfriend and I broke up - the reaction ranged from understanding to in denial to anger. They, of course, wanted me to wait, as their Bible commands purity, but our beliefs differed.

My mom probably would have been open, had I ever approached her. She would have answered my questions if I had asked, but she would never be the type to bring it up. I have known since as long as I can remember that she was pregnant with her first at 17, and delivered at 18. Guess I figured it could never happen to me.

Sex was never brought up until I was already pregnant. Still isn't with my dad. Now my mom just tells me awkward sex stories.

My mom pretty much acted like there was no such thing as sex. I started having sex at 15. Had my first child on my 18th bday, with the guy I lost my virginity too. She didn't even know I wasn't a virgin until I was 5 months pregnant.

Quoting P3RvYmCp3rv:" We never talked about sex at all. So yeaaaa. "
!!!!!
My parents never talked to me about sex. But my dad at 13 told my mom that I needed to get on bc.

Uuhhh where's the option for "my dad was a psycho on the run and my mom wasn't around much and hated me anyway" there wasn't any talks. My mother just expected perfection to her standards without her putting worth effort. Ended up with her oldest 2 (moi and older brother) as parents by 17. My situation was a little different, but even so. She wasn't there for anything. I was religious about condoms and WANTED birth control for non conception reasons to begin with. My brother was just a flucking moron on pot and didn't like using protection

Mine weren't at all. They found a condom in my purse and thought it was disgusting for a girl to even have one At the time, I wasn't even having sex, vaginally lol But I got pregnant at almost 19 but it was more because of the hospital smurfing with my BC right after having sex and needing to go to the ER no matter how much I told them I just had sex.
