Pregnancy test..

posted 14th Jul '12
I took a test today because I had one and figured I might as well use it lol but there was barely a line there... I know I'm pregnant but is it normal for it to show up like that? I'm 8 weeks and I've always had really dark lines and I still have symptoms but could I be miscarrying and not know it? I'm freaking out right now and hoping for no reason.
Here's a pic, sorry on phone.

What time did you take the test? It takes a while for your body to build up enough HCG to show up dark on a test. Also, drinking too many liquids can dilute it. Don't try to worry too much. If you're still unsure, ask your doctor.

Maybe your pee was diluted? I wouldn't read into it too much, especially if you still have symptoms!

It's absolutely normal. As you advance further along, the line will darken. The test measures the HCG hormone excreted in urine, and some tests are just more sensitive then others. No worries mommy. When you get your 1st visit to the Dr. they will draw your blood levels anyway

Just bout an hour ago. I found out June 9th that I was pregnant and the lines have got darker but the last few ones I've taken have been light.

Looks positive to me...I had a faint line as well. So I went to the doctors, did some blood work and peed in a cup to make sure lol.

No it wasn't FMU but I've already had two apts my last was yesterday and I was supposed tO get an ultrasound done but she didn't do one And said I'd get it my next apt at 12 weeks. My test used to be really dark but now they're really light. I'm hoping I'm worrying for nothing. I have no bleeding and only cramp a little bit but not bad.

It really all depends on the time of day and the type of test. My last pregnancy I got a very, very dark positive on a FRER 2 days before AF was due, but Dr. got a negative on his strip test.

This pregnancy, with FMU (First Morning Urine) I used a Dollorama test.... negative. A couple hours later with a strip test like the Dr. uses, it was a BFP. AF was 2 days late.

There are a bunch of different factors that could cause that. Different test, drinking too much before hand, etc. I really wouldn't worry about it unless you start experiencing strong cramping/bleeding.
