Aunt Flo died...

Okay, so TMI, and NO I am not TTCing and NO I am not pregnant (unless by immaculate conception... )

I haven't had my period since April 20th. These past few months have been horrid, but it is really starting to scare me. I also lost my period in February, making it a whooping total of three periods so far this year.

Will my period come back naturally? If not, is there some medication that I can take that will induce a period? I'm not on any BC or any meds/contraception, but this is really making worried. I think I lost my fertility.  

There are all kinds of things that can cause menstrual irregularity or lost periods. Go to the doctor.

They do have meds that can induce a period, provera is one I believe. There are also herbs you can take to help induce a period but I would recommend talking to your dr first. There are a few things that can cause irregular periods, among them are PCOS, hormone imbalances, thyroid issues, being extremely underweight or overweight, benign tumor on pituitary gland.

  All I was told when I wasn't having a period was that BC should help. Hormonal BC doesn't work out with me though, and surprisingly enough I have now been pregnant 3 times...and this third time was while trying to prevent it with NFP. Good luck I hope it comes back or you can get something to help. Just because you aren't having a period doesn't mean you aren't ovulating, that's what i've been told and I believe it since I got pregnant during months of Aunt Flo being MIA. Again good luck!

There are medications and herbs that can help induce a period. I would see your doctor about it to make sure there isn't any underlying cause or whatever, but a friend of mine has had different tests ran that all came back normal, she wasn't on BC, never had kids and would only get 2 or 3 periods a year so she takes some kind of herb to help her cycle.

This might sound like a dumb idea,but why not take one of those fertility tests from First Response? If the test shows normal levels,it'll put your mind at ease a little.

Yeah, I would go 3 months or longer without one when I was a teenager. After I had my first daughter I would have one and another and think I was back on track and then I would go without one for longer than 3 months. I got pregnant with daughter #2 during those months of no period. After my second daughter I was using birth control so I had a period but had to switch around to different kinds of bc because the pill always gave me daily headaches or migraines. NuvaRing gave me infections, i'm guessing yeast infections all of the time so I quit using it. Then I got pregnant with this baby   . Good luck I hope something works out for ya!
