Wellbutrin

Anyone taken this drug? Recommend or not? Care to share your experience?

I was on it for a while. It was really fantastic. Lost 12 pounds, felt motivated and less anxious. I wouldn't say it made me happy, but it took away the despair.

Good to hear! My doctor just prescribed them for me but i don't like the idea of taking harsh antidepressants due to the side effects.. i've read that it's not as harsh as others such as prozac... i hope it works for me cuz i'm not motivated for smurf!

Did you quit taking it? Why if you don't mind me asking? Did you have any bad side effects?

I also heard it makes you abstain from smoking which is a big plus i've been smoking like a freight train  

I took it for 2 years for PPD and anxiety and only recently stopped beause I had to had jaw surgery and didn't want to be on another med on top of everything else from the surgery. But it worked great for me, gave me an energy boost, helped me maintain my healthy weight and find motivation to take care of my kids and work out every day. For me it was almost like a stimulant but really helped the despair part of my depression where I wouold just not feel like doing anything. Once I stopped taking it though I did notice my energy got lower and I didn't feel like doing stuff anymore. But now I'm only a few days post op and on pain meds and I'm not sure if I want to take it again after everything's all over with

I just decided to stop taking it until I can see a psychiatrist. A family practice doctor prescribed me the Wellbutrin. The only bad side effect was night terrors, so the doctor had me take it first thing in the morning.
