Quoting TamaraL:" I was in that boat with my grandmother. Everyone loved the name Delilah and she told me it was too "old ... [snip!] ... her if all the other names from the bible weren't old fashioned why was this one! But it grew on her and now she loves it. "
I was actually trying really hard to avoid biblical names or names that I felt were too plain.
I didnt want anything like James, Micheal, Josh, Brad, Nick, Charles, Anthony, Mark, ect... But I also didnt want anything crazy or sounded made up, I wanted a real name with a real meaning.
I felt the same way when naming our daughter Cassidy
I didnt want crazy spelling, but nothing like Mary, Jessica, Brittany, Amanda, Sara, ect...
