So many choices. Baby bottles

posted 14th Jul '12
I want a bottle that doesn't have a ton of parts, and I don't want to buy the drop in liners.

Which bottle should I choose?

Oh and ebay is gross, they have adult baby bottles.

are you going to be pumping? breastfeeding/supplementing?

those tommee tippee look cool. i think they are a good breastfeeding one, they say "closer to nature" & you can get them at target.

I've used medela (horrible), avent (meh), nuk (meh, and evenflo. The plastic ones suck.
Evenflo glass bottles are awesome awesome awesome. I love them.

Just get regular cheapy bottles then? I use the drop ins and love them. Playtex makes those other ones to, the vent air I think? Doesnt have a million pieces or use the drop ins.

yeah? i am thinking about trying glass. do they come with those like, silicone sleeves so they don't break if dropped or do you have to buy them separate?

I've looked at those, and they look okay, but do they have a ton of parts? I can't really tell from the pictures I've seen.

I just used the 'parent's choice' brand from walmart. They worked fine for us.

I am going to try nursing, but I have some issues with my breasts, but if I am successful, I'd still like to be able to pump at times. If I'm not successful, I'd like to have everything ready.

Some of them come with the sleeves, some don't.
I threw the sleeves away, I didn't like them.
I'm very klutzy, and drop bottles A LOT (on tile, on carpet, on cement). In the almost year that we've been using them, only 2 have ever broke. One my 5 y/o broke and I have no idea what she did to it, the other was a week or so ago when dd#2 threw it full force onto the concrete basement floor.

I like them because they're quicker to heat up than plastic and since glass is non-porous I feel like they're more sanitary.

I tried the vent aire with my son and it leaked like crazy. I like the drop in's but I hated buying the liners all the time, it seemed like a huge waste of money.

I tried all those expensive, fancy bottles.

Then in a week of financial difficulty and lost bottles, I bought those cheap ass Gerber bottles that are like $3 for three of them.

Haven't looked back. Best smurfing bottle ever, and if I have to replace one I don't cry at the cost.
