Eating beforehand?

I have an abortion scheduled for tomorrow. The lady I spoke to on the phone said to eat before I come in. Not only do I have to tackle morning sickness (my appointment is 10am), but I've heard from friends' experiences that eating before made them feel worse and even more nauseous. I'm sure some of it had to do with nerves. I guess my question to any of you ladies who've been through this, do you think eating beforehand made you feel better or worse? Or it didn't matter?

I didnt have the surgical done. But I would eat because it might make you feel better.

I've never had an abortion but I puked during my c-sec and get really nauseated during my period so I wouldn't eat.

Definitely try to eat. They give you enough medication that you would get sick with an empty stomach.
I ate before mine but threw it back up (morning sickness), so the lady at the clinic gave me a plate of cookies and fruit and cheese and stuff. She was so sweet.
But yeah, definitely eat something (if you can).

See, that's where I'm a bit confused. I was talking to a friend who's been through the same thing and she told me that the clinic told her to not eat 12 hours beforehand. Granted, she got hers done at a different clinic, but maybe I'll just eat something small.

Maybe eat some toast or crackers or a bagel. Something light but at least it is something

Thanks for the feedback ladies. I think I'm just going to eat something small. The only thing I can really stand in the morning are saltines anyways.

Good luck either way.
