bath time

posted 13th Jul '12
My son is almost 2weeks old and gets very fussy, upset, mad and any other angery emotion you can name, when i take him a bath. Is this normal? If so then how long will it take him b4 he is relaxed enough to actually like his baths?

Honestly my son is two and likes baths up until you poor water over his head and then he starts freaking out. He didn't start liking baths until he was 6 months old I think. It's normal for them to not like baths when they are younger because when you undress them they get cold and don't like it

make sure the water isnt too hot or cold....maybe he just doesnt like baths....
My son slept thru his first bath..and has loved them ever since..never cried once in the bath..so maybe your son has just decided early that he doesnt like them.
Maybe try playing some music or sing to him. Hope he makes bathtime easier for u soon!

Maybe the water is to hot or cold like another mama said. We have a duck that you put in the water for a few sec and it says if the water is right. My son loves the bath from day one. Even when i poor the water on his head he is as happy as can be. He only gets pissed when we take him out lol.

See i know he hates anything cold so i always make the water warm for him. He is calm for about to seconds wen i put the water on him, then he goes back to fussing. I have tried playing music and talking to him but instead he gives me a "i don't know/care what your trying to do but can u please get me out of this damn tub" types of looks. Is their anything else i can try?
