I know.   I hate that! I should have said "Why does it matter?   " Then you would have known.

Quoting ♥ Olive Oyl:" Eldest was 3 and middle was 2. We did a beachy theme to grow with them. We also combined it with their play room. They love it! "

This is super cute!
OP,
My kids don't have character themes because I'm a mean mom and won't allow them ha but my son and daughter each have black furniture, white and black bedding and accent colors, my daughters being coral, yellow, and a peachy orange and my son's being an aqua blue and a lime green.
I've got pottery barn style with a Target budget but I think their stuff is cute

My son's bed set matches mine as we share a room together but his theme is Thomas the train. He never sleeps in his bed though lol.

My oldest was Classic Pooh as his nursery... and he went into a toddler bed shortly after turning 1, and which time it became Disney's Cars... he's had 2 additional twin beds, so the bedding has changed, but overall its still Cars lol

For now.. K is 3 1/2 and N will be 2 in a month, they've been sharing a bedroom for 3 months now - N doesn't have a "themed" bedding and K has "Thomas the train" bedding, with some airplanes & trains & angry birds stuff on the wall. Blue walls and carpet! I will be making it a more "grown up" room soon tho- as soon as we move them into Twin beds (by Christmas) I already have the bedding: green & blue sheets with Tan down-filled comforter then I want to paint the room... Either dark blue with a grey accent wall or just two different blues. Their play room is green and pretty plain.

Our little boys' (3 and almost 2) room theme is "things that are hopefully somewhat indestructible." I haven't gotten around to decorating since our big room switch a couple months ago when our remodel was finished on the bedrooms.

Our little girls' (4 and almost 4) room theme is pink and My Little Pony. We have matching but reverse pink stuff for their beds, cream walls, and MLP stuff has kinds taken over and become an unintentional theme. Maybe something I should run with and get around to properly decorating for them.

And my lone littlER girl (2) doesn't have a theme, since she sleeps in our room right now. She's problematic at night and still needs us. When she moves into her room, I'm thinking I'll do a minimal/modern blue and red "sparrow" theme, since her nickname is Little Bird.

My daughters room doesn't really have a theme as such it's just girly
This is in our old house, but we've just moved and is pretty much the same now
