THANK YOU!!!!!! The title of her post sent me over the edge enough, but then to champion Wal-Mart for "taking them off the shelves"??? (Um, maybe she should watch "Wal-Mart: The High Cost Of The Low Price"). This BPA scare has gotten really out of hand. Does she honestly think that none of us have EVER heard of this? Simple, we make the choice on what we use. We don't need her blathering on about how Babies R Us is unsafe, for fuck's sake.  

My mom wound up with throat cancer because she just happened to live in a little area called "Love Canal" in upstate New York years ago, not because of any 1 particular product she was using. Gotta love how the government tried to cover that one up. No Erin Brockovich-esque settlements for all the people that got sick from living there.

Is it that these diseases are on the rise or that we have better diagnostic techniques? Do you realize how many people died 50 or 60 years ago and we had no clue what killed them? The doctors would make an educated guess. I had this same discussion when it comes to Autism. Just becausee people were not diagnosed with it does not been it did not exsist. People were misdiagnosed.

Exactly. I just don't get the logic of thinking that these diseases are all caused by things we do now. I will admit somethings may increase your risk for the disease.

She is being a concerned parent but if you really are that concerned you would take everything into consideration...not get mad about "a free bottle"...She stated she will be throwing away the bottle, sweet but is she thinking about our enviorment, recycling, recycling the bottle? ummm, NO....What about our childrens future...What about her childs future??

I'm not reading 27 pages. But, AVENT bottles aren't known to have BPA (the Today Show said so.) and here's a thought if you are so worried about your baby's health. BREASTFEED.
