Will I have time to make it to the hospital

With my last 2 boys my labors where 2hr and 15 and 2hr and 45 min long
I am not sure if I will have time to make it to the Hospital in time, because my labor were not that painfull at all my dr had to tell me when i had a contraction I guess I have a very high pain tolerance.But now seeing how i live 20-30 min out side of town I am worried that i wont have time to get there. I never thought i would feel like one of those movie labors giveing birth in the back seat of a car but now I am very worried about that If anyone has any ideas or in put of the same issues that would be great

If you are really worried you could talk to your doctor and maybe set an induction date for the 20th.

I had the same fears and live about the same distance from the hospital. I brought up my concern to my dr and he said we will schedule my delivery before my due date. Talk to your dr.especially since this isnt your first baby. Better to be safe then sorry,

Ihad that fear also, my doctor induced me at 39 weeks with my 3rd baby. My second was born 30 minutes after I got to the hospital. So it was nice to be able to say ok unless something happens before this date she will be born then. It was easier too cause we could have the other 2 kids spend the night somewhere.

we are going in to be induce on aug 22nd for the same reasons .. my last baby I was puching him out in the hallway and i live about 40 mins for the hospital so I was freaking out that i would have this baby in the car. so i would jsut ask your doctor to set a induce date for you.
