bottles

my son just turned 3 and i saved all his bottles.... but im thinking about chunking them and buying new....

did any of you buy new bottles or just reuse?

Im buying new, i hate the bottles i used for my son (avent)

anything over 2 years and I replace. I think baby items have on;y been bpa ( or whatever it is) free for the last 2 years.

I saved all my playtex drop in bottles. You can always just get new nipples

  I replaced all of my baby stuff that I had left for this reason.

The Avent bottles I bought for my daughter didn't suit her so I had to switch her on to Dr Browns. As it happened, my aunt had 6 bottles she's had since her eldest was born (he's 4) and her youngest had just been weaned off bottles so she gave them to me. They were spotless + still in great condition so I used them! I scrubbed + sterilised them 1st + bought new teats, they were fine + I'm still using them.

If I was to get pregnant again, I wouldn't re-use the bottles, Its about the only thing I would replace though.

i am seriously considering tossing and replacing even tho DH thinks its a waste of money... because the house we lived in when DS was on the bottle had really hard water and the bottles are cloudy and it bugs the hell out of me... i think the only ones ill save are my medela ones that go with my pump because i only used them for 3 weeks and that was before we moved to the crappy water house

i really liked the playtex vent-aire bottles... DS did really well with them... they just had soo many extra parts... so do the dr browns... but i loved them both

My daughter is much better on the dr browns than she was on the Avent, she has reflux + colic the Avent ones only made her worse. The difference in her once she started on Dr Browns was amazing. I agree about all the parts though so much to clean + sterilise but I'll keep her on them till she's weaned.
