Plan B

So I had my D&C 2 weeks and 2 days ago, the DR and my recovery instructions said I could resume swimming, sex etc after 2 weeks. So and I ended up having sex last night and he pulled out, but apparently not fast enough and there was def. a bit of semen in me. I definitely do not want to be pregnant again. I'm not on BC because I can only take the IUD and my appointment is August 1st. I shouldve been using some form of protection but condoms are extremely uncomfortable for me they dry me right up/burn for some reason :/

Are you fertile 2 weeks after? Should I take Plan B? (anyone know of the plan b side effects?

That was a very silly thing to do. I would definitely get the plan b, just incase and don't have unprotected sex again until after your IUD is in. If you don't want another baby then you really do need to prevent it.

I would use condoms if they didnt make me feel like I was on fire. Def not comfortable. SO is usually pretty good with pulling out, so yes I realize it was a pretty dumb mistake given the circumstances. I have plan B here somewhere just have to find it.

I agree. You can get it up to 72 hours after unprotected sex, so don't wait. The sooner you get it, the more effective.

Do you know what the side effects are like? Or can be like? Im going to look for it when I get back from dropping LO off at daycare

You are actually very fertile after D & C. I would take plan B ASAP and hope for the best. If the condoms are giving you an allergic reaction perhaps you should get some non-latex ones. There are some lamb skin ones, plus some lube for dryness. Oh and you can use VCF too.

sometimes you get tired nausaus(sp) and like cramps thats about it

have u ever had a bad reaction to bc pills? all plan b is super high dose bc.....
so the same side effect of the bc pill but can be more intense since its a higher dose at 1 time...
headache, nausea, vomitting, cramping, abnormal period, breakthrough bleeding, ect...

This is a very good point. If you can't take BC pills, because of a reaction or pre existing condition I wouldn't take plan B without first talking to a DR.

I cant take hormonal BC because I have liver problems.

Then I would consult with a Dr. Like I'd call one up now and ask them if they'd advise you to take it. I'd hate for you to take it and it cause you some kind of further liver issues. Know what I mean?

if u cant get your doc on the phone quickly then call the local pharmacy.....

Yeah absolutely. I don't think it would be a problem to take once because the not being allowed hormonal bc is more preventative since its something you take everyday so it could make it worse but I'm going to call and make sure because I def need to take it. Stupid mistake on my part.
