I cant ignore it anymore.

The lump on my lower rib is getting bigger.
I started losing weight at christmas and starting noticing pain and discomfort on my lower left rib, it feels like someone is sqeezing it all the time.
I went to the doctor about it in March and he said that it was probly the cartalige (sp) that runs along the ribs from doing ab exercises.
So I cut down on them and kept working out in other ways.
It never went away and I started to notice a lump, now its gotten golf ball size and its really uncomfortable to sit, sleep, and bend to the left.
It dosnt hurt unless I put preasure on it, but its uncomfortable.

and now Im scared. I know I should go back but I keep putting it off saying it will go away......

Im not really asking anything, or looking for anything I just had to get it out, I wont tell my SO because he will just worry and he dosnt need added stress right now....

Oh I bet thats nerve racking. I read a little on this online and found a lady with same exact kind of description. Below is what her docs concluded.

I would definitely get it checked out. Hopefully it's no big deal but I'm sure they would remove it since it's growing and causing discomfort. Try not to worry and schedule an appointment asap. But just a heads up they will probably drag it out. I had lumps in both breasts and it was 6 weeks from my initial consultation until they finally scheduled a lumpectomy. For some reason the medical world likes to drag their feet

I probably wouldn't google it. There are soo many possibilities and all it will do is make you worry!

my dad had a similar issue on the cartilage of his hand...it was just a ''fatty cyst'' that the doc said not to worry about unless it caused pain. Of course when it reach a certain size it began causing pain whenever anything put pressure on it. He had it removed and everything is fine but the doc did mention that it could come back .

I googled and it sounds way different then what Im experiencing.
I did call to get in the doc and of course they are on holidays till tuesday. figures I get enough courgage to call and they arnt there. lol

I will call again on tuesday.
