Baby shower at 26 weeks?

My Mother is planning my baby shower. And she really wants to have it when the weather is still nice here in Washington. She was thinking about having it August 25th, when I'll only be about 26 & 1/2 weeks pregnant. I am due the end of November. I think it's fine but just want some opinions if it's too early or why you wouldn't have it that early. We are having it at a lake, so that's why the weather matters.

I had my baby shower at 33 weeks... I don't think it matters. A girl on my facebook is like 8 weeks pregnant and already planning her baby shower  

Our families are in MI and we traveled up there for the showers, between 24 and 25 weeks. Friends and co-workers here hosted one at 33 weeks

It really shouldn't matter.,I had mine at 35 weeks and my son was born at 37 weeks so it was close

I think its fine! Lots of time to get everything ready

I think it's a good idea. That way you have lots of time after to buy whatever else you might need. And you have time to set everything up. I'm 32 weeks and it's looking more and more like I may not have a shower because those who offered to do it actually did nothing.

That's kinda early IMO but go for it if you're comfortable with it!

Oh no.. I think that's a littttttle but too early haha. Hopefully she's planning way ahead or something.

Ill be having mine around that week/time due to the fact that ill be on vacation all week. Were having it at my house so ill be able to take my time getting things ready.

I'm due November 28th and my first baby shower is August 19th. We're having one for each side of the family and the 2nd one will be the end of September.

I did mine about that time, but it was so my family could all actually be there, I live out of state from ALL of them! nd it gave me plenty of time to see what i still needed to get on my own, I didnt buy anything until after my baby shower that way i didnt have several of alot of stuff!

Had mine around ttime due to my grandparents leaving for florida. I wasnt due till december had her in noveber at 34 weeks. Worked out perfectly.

I had 3. One that I wouldnt even count because it was literally just me, hubby, my aunt 1-3 cousins and 1 friend who even showed up, idc about the gifts but that all there was and that one was in November right before all of the holidays, my son was born Jan 21st. My mom got me the basinett so I was able to have that set up and change its place 10036654546454604 times before deciding to have it stay next to my bed lol. the next one was just a few days after getting out of the hospital and that wasnt even a real shower either it was my brother and his wife/ her kids that came from out of state and my mom and they gave me most of his supplies and clothes. but then the "realest" one out of all three wasnt until late feb early march and that was when more friends could meet up, and more of both mine and hubby's family could meet up. I'm just having issues trying to decide when to have this one because I'm 19 weeks today, and due dec 6th... I know I want to have it after I know what the gender is which will be August 2nd and ill be 22 weeks then. lol
