I don't go around saying im a teen mom i don't classify my self as a teen mom I'm just a mom and i have never had someone bash me for being one

Just because a teen becomes a mom doesn't make them the "strongest women" for it.

I personally don't think you should have sex until your married, while saying that I understand that other people don't agree and that accidents happen (hopefully it was an accident and they were atleast trying to be safe) and I have nothing against the teens that actually decide to be parents or the ones that choose adoption (I don't agree with abortion) and I don't think that teens should be criticized for being parents unless they are actually harming the child, most teen moms are just as good of parents as "adults" are.

I'm married, 19 and 23 months pregnant, and because of that I get the bad rep of being a "teen mom" its just ridiculous! age doesn't say you will or wont be a good parent.

Usually the girls who pull the whole "I'm a teen mom" card aren't very good parents. Not that they don't love their children, but they get into a tight spot and use the "But teen parenting is so hard. I'm a teen mom in school." blah blah blah. It's an excuse. If you're a good mom, you're a good mom. Period. Age doesn't matter.

I've never been "bashed" on here about my age, ever. I agree with the other ladies its all on how you present yourself. Keep bring up the fact your a teen mom isn't going to help.

Does anyone else get really annoyed from Secret Life, how Amy is always saying that she is a teen mom, and basically that everyone should feel sorry for her? That kind of attitude gets you bashed.

Maybe you should just present yourself as being a good mom instead of being a good mom at 16 years old. I've seen teen parents that were better with their kids than older parents and I've seen teen parents that flat out sucked. Age isn't always the biggest issue and the fact that someone is a teen parent doesn't always make them the strongest person in the world.

Personally, I'm tired of teen moms. Especially ones that think they're sacrificing so goddamn much and should be recognized for it.

I had kids for ME, not for anyone else to point out how smurfing great I am.

And one's "sacrifice" is one's own fault. You don't want to give up your childhood and smurf? There's three options: Stop smurfing, adoption, or abortion.

I don't think having a baby warrants automatic respect.

Every parent gives up something for their children. You want to be treated equal but then you throw that last line out there that says it all. You really wants to be seen as a martyr.

I was a teen mom and what do I think of teen mothers? Irresponsible "dumbasses. Yep I was one too. Think you're not missing anything? You are. Think you're having just as much fun as your friends? You're not. And forget dating if your bd leaves because he's still a kid because no other teenage boy is gonna raise you kid.

Its blunt but I was a teenage mother..pregnant in 11th grade and I assure you...it wasn't the best decision I ever made.

Go ahead ladies..bash it but its the honest truth.

not always, i was a young teen when i had my baby and i've never been bashed before nor here or real life, but then again i work full time and pay my own bills.
