scared ?

Everybody i see the first thing they say to me is are you scared of the birth ? i keep replying no, then they always say 'you say that now but wait !'

i know what happens, ive seen pretty grafic videos of the birth (inculding the ones that go bad) nothings out of normal. so Why do people keep saying this ?

Because you haven't been through it yourself.

Everyone asks that, I do and I have a child. I saw my sister give birth 3 times and its way different when Its you lol.

Once the reality hits that you're about to be responsible for another life, it's quite frightening.

Its scary.... a video is no comparison to what it actually is like but I had a lot of complications so it might not be so scary for someone having a normal labor.

LMAO because watching it on videos in no way compares to actually giving birth.

Because they are scared at the idea of birth and its intimidating when they find someone else isnt. Plus Its pounded into our heads that birth is scary, painful, dangerous and a medical procedure, so thinking anything else about it is "unnatural."

Im not scared either. We were made to give birth.

Personally at the beginning of my pregnancy I wasn't scared at all... Now I'm 8 weeks from my due date and I'm freaking out.. I'm soo ready to have my baby in my arms but simply terrified of labor

because people only really like to tell the horror stories of labour, and no one really see's it as a pain free experience, it's actually not as bad as videos make it out.

Did you do it all natural or did you have meds? I'm going to try and make it as far as I can without them but I kinda know my pain tolerance and I think I'll prolly end up getting an epidural.

Because labor is painful lol you will be right ...... women are tough !! and I always remind myself during labor that it will end it has too . ( I have had 3 naturally with no pain relief , so I know what im talking about lol )

I wanted to do it natural but labour never usually goes to plan, so be prepared, I had gas & air, pethadine and an epidural, and then had a c-sec, none of which I planned for lol but I know so many women who went completely natural and loved it
