Our son is FINALLY getting his prosthetic! :D

I'm so excited that I just have to tell the world! After dealing with all the craziness for over 15 months now, our little boy is finally getting his prosthetic leg on Monday! Woohoo!
Just so everybody knows some of his story since I haven't posted anything about this, our son was born with Club Feet and Fibular Hemimelia in his right leg. We were able to correct his left foot with casting but the right foot was too severe, on top of the fact that some of the bones in that foot were fused together or missing. So, after about 10 months, several different doctors, and countless hours of research, my Husband and I decided to go with amputation and a prosthetic.
So, on April 10th, we drove almost three hours to Indianapolis and our 12 month old baby boy had his amputation and a surgery to straighten his Tibia. After 6 grueling weeks of healing, we started working with a prosthesist and for the last few weeks we've been waiting (very impatiently) for the call saying that his prosthetic is ready so we can start working with it and our now 15 month old boy can finally start to walk, run, and jump with all the other kids! Well, we finally got that call today! His prosthetic is ready! His prosthesist, physical therapist, and a decent amount of our family members and friends are coming out to our place on Monday so we can all be there for his first time wearing his prosthetic!
GAH! I'M SO EXCITED!!!

That's wonderful.
Good luck to him
My right leg was amputated below the knee when I was 7. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask me and I can try to help from personal experience

lol He's just as much of a handful as any other one year old. (Speaking from experience since I worked in a daycare and we have playdates with kids his age at least once a week.) He still climbs all over the furniture, he can go up and down the stairs, makes plenty of messes, and tests his limits. He just crawls instead of runs and he's gotten pretty quick about it!
