Baby Bottles

posted 11th May
The news has made me really paranoid about using the baby bottles that I wanted to use for my son. Does anyone know what kind of bottles are actually safe to use? Are all plastic bottles "tainted"?

They have some at walmart that are evenflo and they say BPA free.  I just replace my bottle every once in a while.

Curious.. my sister made me switch my bottles from regular Dr. Brown's to glass.. and I worry about glass. But my nephew has leukemia and it freaked her out that plastic may have caused it

we use evenflo classics(bpa free) for daycare. Also, if you have a madela punmp in style the classic's will fit on the flang making pumping sooo much easier! We're also using Think baby bottles at home (bpa and pvc free) You can get a 3 pack of Evenflo classic for about 3.00 and think baby are 14.99 for a 2 pack *why we don't use them for day care too*

I've found evenflo classic at my local grocery store and baby's R Us. Think baby are fairly new and I'm not sure if they are available everywhere (i got them at the grocery store) but, you can buy them or check them out at www.thinkbabybottles.com.
Eventually, if they hold up and prove to be a good buy in the long run I'll be replacing the evenflo's w/think baby.

I think that I'm going to try those as well..but I worry that I'll drop them or ..when baby gets old enough to hold them, and carry them around that she might...I wonder how strong they are ?

Isn't the BPA released during heating of the plastic?

I nurse straight off tap, but if my husband needs to feed her (say if I'm out), we use the Nuk brand and heat the milk up in warm water (from the tap).
