adderall while bf'ing?

This seems kind of common-sense to me, but I did a Google search and got varied answers. Is Adderall while your breastfeeding okay? Some answers/info/studies said it is, because so little is passed through your milk, and others said it was (duh) not okay. I was prescribed it before I got pregnant, obviously don't take it now, but am hoping to start again after I deliver- but I also plan to bf. Please no rude answers, I'm obviously going to consult my doctor and my pediatrician as well.

Adderall is a brand-name pharmaceutical psychostimulant composed of mixed amphetamine salts. The drug is used primarily to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and narcolepsy. Adderall has also been used successfully to manage severe cases of treatment-resistant depression. Individuals who show little or no response to typical antidepressants--such as the SSRIs and tricyclics--are more likely to respond to psychostimulant therapy. These patients, however, are the exception, rather than the norm amongst depression patients.

I wouldn't take it, I've been prescribed it before. It has adverse affects usual on people who do not need to take it, so it may affect the baby that way. Not to mention the other harmful things it could do.

I might not take it while bf-ing-but it's a bit farfetched to say that it's just like smoking crack,lol.Maybe ask about similar meds such as Dexadrine,and see if there's anything safer.

Lol I agree. I wasn't asking what the medication was or what it did, I've taken Adderall, Ritalin, Concerta, etc since I was in grade school and I'm well aware. I was asking what medical studies or doctors have shown it's interactions are when used while bf'ing. Thanks though!
