re: To tuck or not to tuck, that is the question

As someone who has had cosmetic surgery before, I think as long as you are doing it for the right reason (for YOURSELF) then you should go for it. Anything to make you feel better about yourself and boost your confidence is a good thing. If your teeth got knocked out in a car accident, would you get fake teeth? Yes you would.

Here is one of my pre-pregnancy pics. It's the only one I could get ahold of right now, sorry it's a bit crappy.

oh ok that makes sense then. I have heard from some people they give you a whole new belly button, but that just seemed weird lol

How would you make a new belly button? LOL I'm not sure that's possible.

Man I miss my flat tummy days. The only picture I have is a polaroid from like 02 that's scanned on my computer. All the rest are packed in boxes.

lol I know that is why when I heard that I was like huh is that even possible lol.

I think that pic is from 03 I believe. It was taken in November of my senior year of high school, so yeah 03 sounds about right.

i think if you are done having kids you should get the tuck. i was actually looking into it when i got pregnant this time. we had made a deal that if i lost 15 pounds we would start saving. after my daughter i was left with a pooch that no matter what i did i could not get rid of. now that i am pregnant i still have a section of skin at the bottom of my stomach that looks weird b/c it's just extra.  i am nervous to see how my belly is going to look after this baby. 
my husband has agreed that if i get back to a certain weight he will start saving again for it. he said he figures in like 2 years maybe.

Have you looked into pricing for it?

Just curious as to how much it costs. I know it varies from state to state, and doctor to doctor, but to just get an estimated idea as to how much I am looking at forking over for this would be nice.

Really makes you miss your pre-prego body huh? I thought I was going to go through pregnancy without getting stretch marks but those suckers popped up on me after my son was born. All that lotion and what not I put on my belly religiously did squat lol

I don't see anything wrong with gettinga tummy tuck if you have the funds available, know the risks associated with the surgery and are willing to take them, and feel that it will help you feel more like yourself. I lucked out and didn't gain much weight - about 25lbs - and my tummy is a little worn out looking but still pretty close to the way it was before babies. If your stomach is way different than it was and you're not comfortable with it, by all means, have the surgery and don't feel guilty.

Out of curiosity, do you plan to have any more children?

No we are done having kids after our daughter is born. We wanted a boy and a girl and that is what we got so we are done. He is getting snipped at the end of summer.

This was me pre-pregnancy   It makes me so sad to look at it sometimes. My skin had NO stretch to it and I gained 80lbs. My stomach looks horrible! I got stretchies all the way around, even on my butt!! Some women get so lucky!!

if you want to, dooo itttt! i've had cosmetic surgery. everyone told me i didn't need it and looked great and all that (i think they just feel like they have to say that lol) i went through with it and never once regreted it! i did it for me and it did everything i expected. i feel so much more confident now. i always watched those shows like Dr. 90210 and still did it even though it looked painful. so worth it to me!
