Possible Pre term labor** Vent**

Im 25wks today and I went to a doctor appt they had to do a vaginal u/s because the baby head was way low in my pelvic and my cervix has shortend a bit. I have had no pain at all. So now I have to be put on bedrest and follow up next week. this was totally unexpected I am so afraid right now cause if I was contracting I didnt know it all just to much and I dont know crap about this anyone been preterm and if so what did they do to try and help it

The best thing to do is calm down. Try your hardest not to stress out about it. Take things easy, get plenty of rest, water and food.

I am trying not to this is my first baby that I have carried his far along. the first two pregnancis were early msc. so I been walking on eggshells with this one now this going on. sigh but i will try I just need a ear from someone who has been through this thank you for the advicse

Lol u sound like me. I went into preterm at 29 weeks. Was on bedrest almost up to delivery...but when I got to term she never wanted to arrive no matter how much sex or walking I did. we ended up inducing at 39 weeks which was do to the preterm labor and her estimated weight was low....she ended up being 6 lbs 13 oz...no too small at all. But all they did when I was in preterm labor was give me a shot and put me on an iv for dehydration. But bedrest is awful and lonely. And no one understands why ur upset about not having to work. But on here there is a lot of support don't be scared or too depressed.

They gave me a shot of terbutaline to stop my contractions. They didn't check me though so I don't know how my cervix is.

Im trying not to worry lol Its hard being on bedrest luckily its not total bedrest ugh! but Im just glad my LO doesnt have any problems he just gotta realize he aint done baking yet

They didnt check my cervix idk why I guess because its funneling from the inside they were doing his measuremets and they were trying to get an accurate measure of his head but it was so low they had to do it vaginally and saw that he was low and yes bedrest really sucks especially when you dont have company

When they did the vaginal us it would have shown how far dialated and think ur cervix was
