Period?

I got my period April 30th(46 day cycle). It ended on May 7th( completely gone not even spotting). I get bladder infections often (though it's been awhile since I've had one). Well on May 8th I got a bladder infection and started to heavily bleed again as if I got my period for the first time this month. My question is did my period reappear? Was it always there and just stopped fora brief moment due to the infection? What do you girls think it is? I want to know so I know when to plan ovulation and all the good that go with having a period. Thanks!
