YES! Sorry-it's been busy  

Sawyer got to come home!!!!!! I know-I was just as shocked! We showed up at the NICU on Tuesday & they were starting the discharge process! Ahhhh!

The neonataligist came & spoke with me for awhile. He said that he's never seen a case THAT bad turn around this fast; or at all. It just doesn't happen. He said "He is beyond a miracle" ...pretty amazing to be told that. Every single doctor, nurse & specialist that we've spoken with is just floored. He was the worst possible case & he has a clean bill of health right now. We still have to watch for seizure activity & will be followed by a pediatrician (here; you don't see a pedi unless you have a health condition---you just see a normal family physician); but he's home & healthy!!!

I was also told my my maternity doc at our follow up yesterday that the OB surgeon; best in the city; who did my emerg csec said that my uterine rupture was he worst he's seen in his 32 year career.
Go big or go home right? Guess I just had to be part of that 1%... Lol

Anywho... THANK YOU ALL for your prayers & continued support. Your prayers brought my son back to health...I can't thank you all enough! <3

What amazing news! I am so happy for you and your whole family. What an incredible story he has! Hope you are healing well. I will post the pic when I get back to work.

I'm doing well... Physically healing pretty good! Mentally-doing much better than I expected; given the circumstances. Having the support of family; friends & complete strangers has kept me thinking positively; and it worked! Still slightly upset - as I truly feel that someone dropped the ball & all of this could have been avoided BUT my son is here & healthy now & I can't change what happened. I can only hope it doesn't happen to someone else. Definitely the most traumatizing week of my life!

I'm glad to hear you are doing ok too! And you guys do have an amazing story to tell! You can use this in the future as a lesson. Like "son if you can make it through that, you can make it through anything life throws your way". Best of luck to all of you! <3

He is just as handsome as can be!! Congratulations and I'm so thrilled things worked out for you and your family - especially for this precious little guy. All the best for your recovery and for him to be seizure-free as he grows.
