I actually googled mucous plug and this forum came up..lol. But I just lost mine a couple days ago, went to the doctor yesterday.. she checked me and said that the baby is definitely dropping; I'm not dilated but I'm 70% effaced   Not exactly sure what that means as far as when labor will come but she said I could be a week early.

Very informative thread. I am currently 34 weeks pregnant and have been almost waiting to see the mucus plug. I had no idea what it could look like so this helps a bit lol.

is it a big deal if u dnt notice it? and hw far alng r u when u normally lose it?

It's kinda gross, but at least we will know what a mucus plug looks like when it's our turn to become mommies

OMG! I am glad I found this! haha I'm preggo with number 1 and due july 22 I feel like I just went through birthing class! Thanks for the uhm, education!

I know this is like a month later, but I lost mine at 28 weeks and had my son a week later...I think you can lose it any time before you are about to give birth.

great post!!!! very informative, I really didn't think the mucus plug looked like that. Honestly never heard about till I got pregnant and I'm 26 lol......why didn't my mother tell me these things!!!!!!!
