My Labor and Delivery

So. Thursday, May the 1st, I go in for an ultrasound, a week over due. They tell me that my ambiotic fluid levels are -very- low, and their admitting me to the hospital ASAP to induce labor by the PIT at 4 am on Friday, the 2nd. After 12 hours on the PIT, I had no more than mild cramping, so they put in cervadil. To the same effect. Mild cramping. It was in for sixteen hours. The next morning, on Saturday the 3rd of May, they start me on PIT again at 8 am. By 2:10 in the afternoon, my daughter, Catherine Rose, made her appearance after 1 hour of hard labor, and only 30 minutes of pushing. She came out at 8 pounds, 7 ounces, perfectly healthy! There was -no- damage to mommy what so ever (no tearing, ripping, or internal owwies), and I was up and walking around no less than 2 hours later, to be released from the hospital on Sunday, May 4th, a full 24 hours before they let most new mothers even consider going home with baby.

And... that's my labor and delivery story!

Congrats Momma!!

Thank you thank you. ^_^ I feel kinda bad. She's just a little over a week old, and my mother is watching her for the evening so me and my sweetie can have some down time. I appreciate it... but I miss her -soooooooooooo- much! Am I a bad mom for letting my mom take her for a few hours already...?

I hope so too! I didn't have any pain either (epidurals for the win!!! I highly recommend them!!)

I tried getting an epi and it didnt work for me AT ALL !!!

No fair for you!!! They hit me with a 'light' dose, and I felt nothing... I couldn't even feel my contractions. And then, it wore of -backwards-. It's supposed to wear off from the waist down, mine wore off from the feet up. O_o'
