My son took speech therapy, he was older but honestly there is nothing to be scared of. It's just like him being in school. They used flash cards, puzzles, games etc. just to work with the sounds of words.

there's nothing to be scared of, honestly. my dd has gone since around 3 yrs...it's just games and homework to address their issues and strengthen their weaknesses. 2 is very early to start, though.

My son is 20 months and only says a few words. my doctor suggested birth to three and my son qualified. I will have a speech therapist come twice a month to help him learn new words and help me learn how to teach hin on my own. im also nervous because its unfamiliar. My son tested average or above averafe on everything but verbal which was delayed. All babies are different and they learn differently. Twll her its okay and her child will learn alot. Ive read stories about babies learning so much and catching up with their peers rekatively quickly.

i wonder why they do it so early, but my husband's nephew had a speech therapist too and he's only 2. He still doesn't really say much

I don't think 2 is too early to start. My son started just after he turned 2, as well.

Dude has been in speech therapy since 20ish months. No reason to be afraid.
they just kinda play and talk and prompt words, give "homework" of how to work better with your child. No big deal.

Speech therapy can be a really good thing. Alot more children should go than the ones who do. My nephew is 4 1/2 and talks like a 2 yr old and I really wish he'd go because I'm afraid that once in school he's gonna be picked on severely.
