First and Worst Mother's Day Ever :( (vent)

So I send my son to spend the weekend with his father and he agrees to have him back by noon today as it is my first mother's day and I should be able to spend it with my son at my family's huge barbecue with everyone else.
I didn't hear a word from them until 2 pm saying that they didn't know when they were going to leave, and they didn't know what time they'd have my son back to me. My ex's mom decided to send me this via text message.
Here it is, 3:30 pm and still no sign of anything. I send his mom another text expressing my anger that I have to spend my mothers day on the couch or on the computer trying to pass time while missing the barbecue and everything, and above all else missing out on my damn right to have my son on the day its most important to all moms, you know? And what does she say? "Oh hon, if I'd known that I'd have had him to you by ten this morning!"
I'm torn between bawling my damn eyes out and tearing out my hair. This just strikes me as extremely unfair because now, by the time he gets here, I'll have just enough time to watch one more Blue's Clues episode, read him Pat The Bunny Goes To Bed, and tuck him in for the night before eating a wonderful tv dinner and going to bed myself.
I hate this so much. Neither of them seem to really care.
I think I'm just gonna commandeer father's day from him and see how he likes it.

Seriously though... their being jerks. Her being a mother should KNOW how important it is for you to spend your first Mothers Day with your son.. I vote for you taking away his fathers day

Yeah I think just letting him see what I've gone through will be a great punishment. I just can't believe the loser had the balls to do it.

I would do that too! It's not like his mom doesn't know what mother's day is all about, especially it being your 1st! Take away his father's day, he needs it.

If it were me I would not have let him take him to begin with, but in my xperience, baby daddys can't be trusted... Now you know tho, take his fathers day and for future ref, he does not get him on mothers day weekend. I am sorry your first Mothers Day sucked tho...

BTW- I vote for Meghan anywhere in the name, as long as it's spelled just like that. Great name.  

BTW he did that shit on purpose. I highly suggest when you have your baby to get court appointed court visitation IE. your kids have to be back to you on a specific time/day...and you get certian holidays and "special days". If he doesn't do what the court says, he can get his visitation revoked...I bet he wouldn't pull this shit again.

Lol I'm extremely vindictive if I feel I've been wronged(as in this case)

Yeah it's gonna have to come down to that. I tried to do it the easy way where you like....trust each other and stuff but now I know I was just being naive and new to this so he's gonna get hit as soon as my daughter's born.
