Would you stay or would you go?

So this pregnancy has been pretty crazy. I have had a placental abruption with bleeding and have been in and out of the hospital a lot more than I would ever like to be.
When I go into L&D they monitor me and check me and see I am having some smaller contractions but they are not changing my cervix. I had another bigger bleed today and I don't want to go in...sounds horrible but I feel like its just a waste of my time unless my water breaks. I want baby to stay in. I am a scheduled c section. I don't want to have to stay there over night for a week again.
Would you go?

I would definitely go in...better safe than sorry. How bad is the abruption? What if it has gotten worse. I would not chance it.

I would go. I know its irritating staying in the hospital for a week, but if that week saves baby and keeps baby in that much longer, its worth it to me. Good luck.

Can't the abruption be dangerous to you also? I just wouldn't chance it. I wouldn't risk losing my child or possibly leave my surviving kids without a mother.

They just checked it after my last big bleed and it was the same size. I know it is better to go in and have thins checked, it's just frustrating! I was just at the OBs yesterday.

I dont think so at all. You are doing it to make sure your baby is ok. No ones going to think your nuts for it.

you need to go. PLEASE. this is dangerous for your baby. i understand they keep sending you home but just don't risk it.

I am going to go. I did just call and the nurse said if they know I have this then it's nothing serious and I don't need to come in :s but I am going for peace of mind

I would call your doctor and voice your concerns. If you feel like this bleed isn't much different from the other ones, he/she may agree with you; however,just be aware that every bleed in the placenta causes a degeneration of the placenta and makes it harder for baby to get nutrients from you. It may be worth it to see if your doctor's office will do an ultrasound to assess the levels of fluids and stuff and then go to L&D. It doesn't ever hurt to call your doctor before you head into L&D.
