moving across country is expensive...

trying to figure out the easiest way to get all of our stuff from Michigan to Nevada... It's going to cost well over $1,000-$2,000.
and THEN since we're renting a house once we get there it's going to be another $2,000+ for deposit and first months rent.
but once we get there SO will have a really nice job and we'll be able to catch back up, hopefully.
SmUrf tho.... it's going to be awhile before we save up enough to even get the smurf over there.
Anyone recommend a good moving company? My mom said something about 'Mayflower' and that they move all your smurf and your car...
a Uhaul would be pretty expensive, AND we would have to drive all the way there and get a hotel or two.ugh

We used ABF, they charged by the amount of space we used. We packed it REALLY tight, and REALLY high. It ended up being cheaper than some of the other options for us, but we really had to pack it properly. Everything arrived in fantastic shape, so we were satisfied. Good luck, it is very expensive!

It was cheaper for us to use Budget to move one way and when we moved locally we used U-HAUL as it was cheaper.

we used ABF as well and i totally think it's a good way to go you pay by the amount of space you use, so you just pack everything as tight(and high) as possible then they tell you how much it'll be then it took like a week to get here(ca to co) .. i can't quite remember the price but it was around 1,000
