teething?

I was visiting my mother-in-law in MI last week and she noticed that my 3 and 1/2 mth old had a little white speck on his lower gum. She ran her finger over it and my lo starting crying like it was bothering him. He's been napping more than usual but still sleeping all night. He been fussier and he's been drooling alot too. I was just wondering if my mother-in-law was right that it was teething or is it something else?

Oh yup sounds like teething!   my daughter is 11 weeks + teething too. Drooling, biting anything including her fingers + shouting. Shes very cross + not feeding right, her cheeks are bright red too. I checked her gums + she has a white lump, I rubbed it + she cried so yea I'm pretty sure she's teething! I give her teething powder sachets + they work right away. Theyre called Teetha + non medicinal, she stops biting for a while after getting one. She still has awful reflux as well so just is not settling or sleeping much right now.
