it MIGHT work! so excited!!!!

So... I posted yesterday that we found out my 11 year old Brother has cancer.... After talking to my mom last night i found out that its Hodgkins Disease. Its awful and horrible but i am SO thankful we have Cincinnati Childrens Hospital #3 childrens Hospital in the US here to help him! I also did some research and talked to my Mom about using my babys cord blood once i give birth... It COULD work without being an exact match! I didnt plan this baby... And i always wondered why God gave me this baby after already having 5!!!! I think now i know.... And its to help my Brother. Does that seem weird? I am over the moon that i might be able to help him! We will know more about it later today after all of his tests and dr appt. Poor guy wont know whats wrong with him til about 1 this afternoon. Thanks for reading... Our immediate family is keeping it hush hush for now so i really have no one to talk to about this.

That's not weird, you are talking about potentially saving his life. That is something to be over the moon about. Good for you, I hope it all goes to plan <3

Thank you! He is only a year older than my first born... My mom had me and my brother then YEARS later gave us 2 little brothers.. 14 and 11 now.. lol... Ive always been close to them. They are such good kids! Its gonna be a tough road but i know our family will pull him through this

Aawww... I didnt mean to make anyone cry! Although.. i lost it when i found out yesterday. Im just excited to hear what his drs have to say about it. Ill go through whatever tests or anything they need. I HATE needles and blood and stuff but i think ill get over it knowing im helping him. Hes such a sweet kid! Always hugs me and tells me he loves me... Even begs my mom to keep one or two kids cause he says i need a break! Lol....

But it truly is just amazing that you got such a blessing to help your brother, Just for wanting to take the kids he seems like such a great kid! Ill really be praying for him and your whole family! But he really is in good hands at that hospital! Ive been there before when my little cousin got really sick who use to live over there and its wonderful!

Thank u! And yeah... Childrens is AMAZING! Im so glad we are close and wont have to travel far to get him good help.

I donated my son's cord blood and I hate needles as well...to donate cord blood is easy though. they take blood from you 1 time in I think 4 bottles? and ask you a bunch of questions about family history and if you have had any health problems ever. When I have another baby I will be doing it again.
