BABY SHOWERS

Hi all,

am after some tips and ideas for having a Baby Shower, am planning to have one on the 2nd June, they are not that popular over here, (everyone says it an american tradition).

So any ideas of what goes on and so on would be appreciated.

I have only been to one, and all we did was buy presents, sat around and talked and ate  

I would like mine a little bit different.

My friend threw me a coed shower so guys could come too. It was very casual...just likea small daytime party. You could do games too but we didn't.

There are tons of games that can be played... Like the on where you buy a few jars of baby food, take the labels off (or cover them) and have everyone take a little taste test and see if they can guess what it is. Everyone gets a diaper pin or clothes pin to put on their shirt and whenever anyone says "baby" they get it taken away by whoever catches that they said it, then whoever has the most at the end wins. Take colored toilet paper and everyone has to guess how big the baby belly is... You can probly find more if you do a search those are the only ones I can think of right now LOL At mine we are just having snack foods, cake, playing games and chatting.   My mom bought gift bags for everyone (including kids) with little candles and lollipops and stuff in them for the adults and bubbles and little toys for the kids. Ooh, I thought of another game... You get a baby doll and then time everyone to see who can dress the baby the quickest.  

Omg baby showers are too fun... if done the right way... it shouldn't just be about EVERYone you know (excluding males) coming over and buying you everything you could possibly need for the baby.

I'm not having one... only because I live too far away from my family and friends but the most memorable ones I can think of included virgin cocktails- bloody mary's... pina coladas etc. usually during the day so you'd have brunch or lunch... Yours is June so a cookout would be nice too.
At baby stores they might have kits... ya know to include hats and pin the diaper on the baby...
Think little kid's birthday party crossed with a bridal shower and Bachelorette party.

Im having mine July 2nd Its co-ed...Its going to be a BBQ at the park near the river I have games picked out and everything I went to google and searched Co-ed Baby shower games...they had alot of good ones!! Im making mine more like a baby celebration not some boring all female traditional shower. I have over 60 ppl on my list!
