Nipple "twiddling"
posted 10th Jul '12
Will be the end of me.
It is just driving me crazy. I have tried everything to make it stop... and at night when he tries and I move his hand he will wake up crying. He stopped doing it for a while but then picked it up again and its worse then ever, he is almost 2.
Please tell me I am not alone in my misery

Give him something to hold onto like a stuffie or something. LB does it all of the time too and it drives me nuts.

Neither of my kids did it, but believe me it would irritate the smurf out of me. I hate having my nipples messed with. I would try covering the unused boob with something tight (maybe wear a sports bra?) so he can't get to it. Or unlatch him when he starts doing it and every time he tries. It will be hard and you'll have a lot of crying but he will learn that you won't tolerate it .

My son does it too! I redirect his hand to the blanket and he normally will stop.
Last night DH was holding him without a shirt on and he did it to his nipples LOL.

Clara's not even nursing anymore and still does it. Every night. She still has to stuff her head in my boobs and *twiddle twiddle twiddle*.

I've tried everything to get her to stop, but no such luck! And today is her 1st birthday! We made it ebfing for a whole year!
