Engaged!!!!

So, this past week has been really tough for Adam and I. I miscarried Harmony Grace almost a week ago and it's been very tough for us. We were planning on giving her up for adoption anyways, but knowing we didn't even get to meet our baby girl broke our hearts.

Today, I woke up and was able to come to grips with it a bit more. Adam asked me if I wanted to go to the beach in the evening for a date, and I said sure. After talking, crying, and bonding a bit, we stood up and watched the sun begin to set. He said, "You love me." I laughed. "Yes, yes I do." And he kissed my cheek and said, "And I love you." I told him that I certainly hoped he did. He then slid his hand down my arm and went down on one knee. I'm pretty sure my heart skipped a few beats.

He told me everything he loved about me and marveled at how beautiful our daughter would've been. He then took out a ring and asked me to become his wife. I cried and had a bit of trouble getting out the word he was looking for, "Yes." When I did, he kissed me and we went back home. The ring is very simple, just a plain band with a beautiful diamond on it. It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

I'm not sure when we're going to get married, but I'm so excited. Even with the heartbreaking loss of Harmony, we're managing to move on and keep her safely in our hearts. <3 Just thought I'd share. =)
