12 week appointment

I went for my 12 week appointment today. My doctor got me all ready to hear the baby's heart beat over the Doppler. I was SOOOOOOOO excited. They couldn't find the baby's heart beat just mine. So I had an ultrasound done. The baby was jumping and moving around so much! I did get worried at first because we didn't see a heart beat. But baby was moving that much and kept turning. I was just so happy to know my baby is growing and on time! Measured 12 weeks 4 days which is GREAT because the baby was measuring a few day's off from the due day I was given of Jan 18th. Only weird thing they noticed today was that my placenta is in the front. I never heard of that. My doctor said that could be one of the reason's we couldn't hear the heart beat and the fact it was moving so much. Like I said before I was just SUPER happy to see a heart beat.

aww yay!! i had an u/s done last week at 14 weeks, and he said the same thing about my placenta. said it was not a big deal this early and not worry though. glad you got to see baby dancing!!

When I went in at eleven weeks exactly they heard the heartbeat for like half a second and then my little bean was off and running. The doctor said it's totally normal since the baby is pretty active!

P.S. I have never heard of placenta being in front either. It can't hurt the baby right?

Congrats! at my 12 week appointment my midwife found the heartbeat really quickly, but at my 16 week appointment she had alot of trouble finding it because my baby is already a little butthead [so much like it's daddy already haha] and decided to stay sitting really low lol.

From what the doctor said no. I'm just super worried with this pregnancy. I lost two babies last year one at 19 weeks and another at 8 weeks. So I'm just a little cautious. So far so good for this one though! This is the 3rd time I've seen baby and gosh has it grown!!! Hope you ladies are doing great!

I already told my husband that it must be a girl haha. Our son was like oh I'm a boy and he wasn't to picky lol. I just want a healthy baby

The placenta being at the front is called an anterior placenta. Totally normal =)
