is walking enough?

Is walking every day enough to help you lose weight and tone up?

I've been walking 2 miles every day when I get home, at 7:30pm, and I honestly feel like it's the only form of exercise I have the energy for after being on my feet all day at work. But I don't know if it's even going to do me any good? I want to lose 10-15lbs and tone up a little.

I've also cut back on calories, and I'm more conscious of what I eat all together, but I don't really see or feel much of a change yet. (It's been a week lol).

It depends on your metabolism of course, but if you are walking briskly then I would say yes, that's enough. I lost 13 lbs just from walking an hour twice a week. Of course, it took me 6 months because I didn't really change my eating habits.  As far as toning, you will get some toning in your legs and butt, but if you want really defined/tight toning in butt, legs, and core, you will have to do some additional exercises.

I hope so! Lol I walk a mile each way to my train station and back 3 days a week, so that'd be great if it.

I am in your boat   I walk from Union to work and back 5 days a week.

But yes walking is enough but you need to WALK. Don't have to power walk but you can't walk mediocre slow.
Also make sure you eat well. Doesn't have to be 100% tofurkey-banana-protein-I.only.eat.celery kind of thing but just monitor calorie input.

Weight loss is 80% diet. 20% exercise.
