posted 9th Jul '12
She's almost 2 years old, and we just stopped breastfeeding all together, I don't have anything left, but now she WHINESSSS just to be put on the boob even when I tell her know, and she'll keep pulling down my shirt, crying and whining, until I pop the boob in her mouth... this has to be as bad a paci!

How do I stop this? It's annoying. lol

She will fight it for a few days til she finds something else to secure her like a blanket or thumb etc. Hang in there probably gonna b hard for a week or so. In this sense you probably need to wean her off or cold turkey. I haven't breastfed that long but I don't know any other solution except don't give her the boob, or cut down the amount of time she gets with it slowly then she will wean off herself.

My guess would be that maybe she is feeling a little traumatized by all that smurf that went down and is looking for a little comfort.....but I am not smurfing professional so what the smurf do I know, lol.

I have no advice but I agree with Chelsa, maybe cut down on the amount of time she gets on the boob and slowly wean her back off.

My milk stopped coming in a month or two after my LOs 2nd birthday. For about a week Iet her use me as a paci and then I just thought "well this is silly." so I just stopped giving it to her all together but it wasn't that hard because she wasn't nursing very frequently before that anyways. It wasn't met with much whining until this morning. After about month of her not even asking she woke up and said " boob please" and pouted with a big fat lip stuck out, lol. Good luck!
