I don't really have a great relationship with my mother as my sister (who is 11) has with her. I envy their relationship because that's the kind of relationship I wanted to have with my mother but couldn't because my mom favored my brother (I am the oldest) so when my sister came along I knew there was never going to be a chance. But that's why I do want to have a daughter, I would love to have that sort of relationship but I know there is a chance that she may not want to have that kind of relationship which scares me.

I know what you mean.. It's just different now seeing how I have such a strong bond with my child, a bond that I never grew up with. My parents hardly raised me..
